The Florence Seminars is an annual week-long set of seminars led by internationally accomplished leaders in their fields, designed to assist the professional development of practitioners in three content areas: mental health, organizational leadership, and the arts and humanities. The Seminars are intended to provide advanced theoretical understanding and practical guidance to professionals in a variety of fields. In addition to the educational experience, the venue offers participants extraordinary opportunities to experience the scenic, architectural, and artistic beauty, history, and culinary excellence of one of the world’s truly great cities.
Location of the Seminars
The Florence Seminars are held in the city of Florence, Italy, at the facilities of The Libera Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (LABA), a premier academy offering baccalaureate degrees and advanced certificates in the fine arts. The Accademia is located less than two miles from Florence’s historic center. It is newly renovated, has air-conditioned and multimedia equipped classrooms, state-of-the-art computer facilities, and easy access to the city of Florence and its environs. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to Florence. There are no direct flights from the United States to Florence. In making your travel plans, please keep in mind possibilities for delays and the effects of jet lag. It might be helpful to arrive in Florence at least a day or two prior to the seminars. And...don’t forget your valid passport.

Optional Tours of Florence
Optional Art Tours and City Walks will be available each of the two weeks of the seminars. These activities will be led by Christina Mifsud, an art historian and licensed tour guide. Schedule of activities will be provided on-site. Each activity will require a separate fee to be paid at the time of tour.
